Route FAQs

About traveling in Chaoshan and our services

Is this route good for first-time visitors to Chaoshan?+

Yes. Five days linking Chaozhou old town, Shantou's historic quarter and Nan'ao Island is our classic introduction, and the pace stays unhurried.

Are five days too rushed? How long do we walk each day?+

Roughly 6–8 hours a day including one or two main sights and meals, with the afternoon left free to rest. The Nan'ao Island day involves more driving, which we flag in advance.

Can the order or the number of days be changed?+

Yes. This is a private itinerary — days, sights and hotels can all be rearranged around your dates and interests.

Does Nan'ao Island need extra permits? Can weather affect it?+

No permits are needed; you reach the island over the sea bridge. In a typhoon or high winds the bridge can close temporarily, and we switch to a backup plan.
