These terms apply when you inquire about, book or use the private custom tour services of Teochew Travel (teochewtravel.com) through this website or any communication channel. By submitting an inquiry or confirming an itinerary, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
Nature of our service
Teochew Travel is a private custom tour operator based in Shantou, Guangdong, China, offering itinerary planning, cultural experience arrangements, roots-journey assistance and on-the-ground coordination. Content on this website is for general information; your itinerary, price and inclusions are governed by the written itinerary confirmation agreed by both parties (including email or chat records).
Bookings and confirmation
- Start with an inquiry via the form, email, WhatsApp or WeChat — planning and quotations are free of charge
- Once dates, group size, accommodation, experiences and price are agreed, we issue a written itinerary confirmation
- A booking is established when you confirm the itinerary and pay the deposit
Prices and payment
- Currency, payment methods and deadlines follow the itinerary confirmation
- A deposit is usually due at confirmation; the balance is paid per the schedule in the confirmation
- Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude long-distance transport to Chaoshan (flights, high-speed rail), visas and personal expenses
Changes and cancellations
If you need to change dates, group size or content before departure, we will do our best to coordinate with suppliers; any difference in cost is shared as set out in the confirmation. Cancellation charges depend on each supplier's policy and the notice period, as stated in the cancellation terms of your confirmation.
Force majeure
If typhoons, heavy rain, epidemics, government restrictions or other events beyond our control prevent the trip from taking place, we will discuss rescheduling, adjusting the itinerary or refunding against actually incurred costs. We will keep you informed and propose reasonable alternatives.
Responsibilities
- We plan itineraries with reasonable care and work with reputable local suppliers
- For services delivered by third parties (hotels, transport, experiences) we assist you in communicating and negotiating solutions
- Travellers must comply with Chinese laws and local customs; consequences of personal conduct rest with the traveller
- We strongly recommend travel insurance covering medical costs and trip changes
Intellectual property
The text, photography, logos and page design of this website belong to Teochew Travel or their respective owners and are protected by intellectual-property law. Commercial reuse of website content requires our written permission.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes will first be resolved through friendly negotiation; failing that, they may be brought before the competent authority under applicable law.
